Most of us have "comfort" books and movies that we go back to over and over again on days where we're either sick or just don't feel like doing anything other than reading or watching movies. What are some of your favorites? Melissa Lummis and I had a fun time here discussing the topic. Some friends joined in on the live comments and shared some of their favorite "comfort" books and movies too. Here's just a partial list of some of the titles that were discussed: The Shining, Riddick, The Burglar Who Thought He Was Bogart, Star Wars, The Back To The Future trilogy, Star Trek, Deep Thoughts, Parenthood, The Lost Boys and a LOT more. :-)

Something Tells Me I'm Into Something Good or The Fun Premiere of Sunday Night Fiction Club with Melissa Lummis!
So, last night was the premiere episode of Sunday Night Fiction Club, the new show I'm co-hosting with writer Melissa Lummis. How did it go?
Well, I had a blast! We talked about good and bad movie adaptations of books. We also did a lot of laughing along the way. If viewers enjoy watching this even 1/10th as much as I enjoyed doing it, then that will make me happy.
Melissa and I will be doing Sunday Night Fiction Club each and every Sunday night at 10PM EST. We'll mainly talk about fiction, hence the title. (Oooh, I love using the word 'hence.' It's hard to work into every day life, but it's easy to work into blog postings!)
Aside from books, we'll also be discussing movies, TV, music and other things. Our goal is to delve (almost as cool a word as 'hence') into different pop culture topics each week. We'll have occasional guests, do some Q&A's, and other fun things.
That last part is our most important goal for this show: WE'RE GOING TO HAVE FUN!!!
Part of that fun will be having you (yes, YOU!) join us and be part of our Sunday Night Fiction Club. We encourage our friends/viewers/bill collectors (well, maybe not that last one) to participate in the shows. If you watch the show live, you can leave live comments and we can interact with you. If you watch it later, well, we'll be checking those comments later too.
On the next show, we'll be talking about Sick Day Reads And Movies. Which books and movies do you like to go back to over and over again on days when you're not feeling so great? Or even on lazy days when you just don't feel like doing anything? Feel free to comment here, if you'd like. I love getting comments.
To connect with me in other places, well, look to the right of the screen (OVER THERE-----------> KIND OF UP A LITTLE BIT, BUT STILL, OVER THERE--->)
To connect with Melissa, there are several ways. You can go here to her awesome website or you can follow her here on Twitter. If you're one of those Facebook people, well, you're my kinda people! Connect with Melissa on Facebook here!
If you've read this far and still haven't watched the above video, well, thanks...but go and watch the video. I hope you enjoy it and join us next Sunday for our next episode.
Have a great week!

Garrett Robinson has a lot going on. He's a filmmaker who writes and directs films and he's also an author of many science fiction and fantasy books. In this interview we discuss his books, which contain such titles as Touch, Non-Zombie, Hit Girls, The Ninjabread Man and Realmkeepers. A lot of titles there and he's been publishing for just over one year. Pretty impressive if you ask me (and even if you don't ask me.) Watch and hear us talk about how he's been doing it. Be sure to check out Garrett's books on Amazon.com: http://tinyurl.com/kr646ps. Also, he's one of the co-hosts of a great show for writers called The Storytelling Podcast. You can find those shows either athttp://thestorytellingpodcast.com/ or on Garret's YouTube page:https://www.youtube.com/user/TheGarre....
Thanks for watching!

Buddy's Writing Show #11: New Adult talk (and other Not-So-New Adult talk) with Tawdra Kandle and Melissa Lummis
Me and my special guest co-host Melissa Lummis talk with writer Tawdra Kandle about her many great books. We also talk about the New Adult genre which is quickly growing in popularity. Then we switch it up and talk some sports, about one of my favorite TV shows from the 80's, more writing stuff and some other fun things. We had a slight tech problem at30:46 where we lost video but it resumes at 32:22. Check out Tawdra's great books on Amazon: http://tinyurl.com/ly7skv8. Also, check out Melissa on Amazon: http://tinyurl.com/lbfdd92.
