Special Feature For Black History Month

It just dawned on me that the month is almost over and I haven't yet done anything special here for Black History Month.
To rectify the situation, I'd like to pay special tribute to one of my favorite black actors, the incredibly talented Jimmie Walker.
Recently I've been watching GOOD TIMES on TV Land. I've always liked that show a lot. Was Jimmie's character somewhat silly on the show? Sure. Was Jimmie usually hilarious playing the role? Definitely.
Another of my favorite things that Jimmie did was play boxer Bootney Farnsworth in the movie LET'S DO IT AGAIN. Great, great movie!
Movies and tv shows should utilize Jimmie's talents more often than they do. I want to see Jimmie back in the spotlight where he deserves to be!

Happy 40th Birthday To Cindy Crawford!

Cindy, if you're reading this (I know you frequently visit this site,) I want to tell you that you shouldn't be bummed out about turning 40. It's really no big deal. I turned 40 last week and I'm totally fine with it.
Still, if you need help going through this ordeal, please don't hesitate to contact me. I'm here for you, Babe.
This Week's Question...
What is your favorite Steve Martin movie?
Steve Martin Is Still Hilarious
Maria and I saw the new Pink Panther movie yesterday. I was a big fan of the original Pink Panther movies, so I was a little bit apprehensive to see this new one.
Turns out I didn't need to be. It was a really good movie. VERY funny! I laughed out loud a lot. Steve Martin was great as Inspector Clouseau. The man is still hilarious. Not many actors could have pulled off playing the part as well as he did.
I'm betting there will be a sequel. I'll be there to see it.

Valentine's Day: I've Got A Heart-On For You
Here's my million dollar idea: a special condom marketed specifically for Valentine's Day. They'll have little hearts on them and be called HEART-ONS. (Get it?)
No one try to steal my idea. I already contacted the people at the Trojan company.

The Birthday Celebration

Last night was great. Stacy and Blake & Mike and Vicki took me out to dinner at The Outback. I had the Jackeroo Chops, which I love. They then presented me with a birthday cake with a picture of Trogdor The Burninator on it. Awesome! Maria then met up with us and we all went to The Dupont Theatre to see Chicago (the musical, not the band.) It was a really great show! Even though the weather was nasty, it was still a fantastic night. I'd like to thank Stacy and Vicki for planning the whole thing. You two are really great friends! (Side note: Blogger seems to be messed up right now. Its not letting me start new paragraphs. Grrrr!)
This Young Lad Is 40 Today???

Yep, I'm 40 today. (And no, that isn't a recent picture of me above. I was 20-something when it was taken.)

Last Night's Lost And Tonight's Dancing With The Stars

LOST was pretty decent last night. The back-story on Sawyer (or whatever his name really is) was good but I was bothered by how he was behaving towards the end of the episode. The whole "Sawyer, The Bad Cowboy" thing didn't work for me. Next week's episode looks good though.
DANCING WITH THE STARS is on tonight. I didn't watch it during its first season, but I'm into it this season. The celebrities have been pretty entertaining. George Hamilton has been fun to watch on there. There's no way he's going to win the competition, but he's been doing a good job on the show. The guy's just really cool.
As for the ladies on the show...wrestler Stacy Keibler has been incredible. And I'm not just saying that because she's gorgeous and has the greatest legs I've ever seen. (They say her legs are 42 inches long. Wow.)
The show's now down to its final 5 contestants. If you haven't been watching, now might be a good time to tune in.

Don't You Just Hate It When...
...you run into someone you know, but you can't remember their name?
I had this happen a few nights ago while I was at a store. I was walking around and heard someone call out my name. I turned around and saw a guy who looked sort of familiar. We shook hands and I made the mistake of saying I was drawing a blank on his name. He seemed a little offended. He actually insisted I try to guess his name. I guessed wrong twice and then he told me his name. We had worked together years ago and it had been six or seven years since I'd seen him.
I felt a little bad that I forgot his name, but hey, it happens. In all fairness to me, the fella had kind of let himself go over the years, so it's not totally my fault for not being able to recognize him.
Oh, well...

What's Your Favorite Song By Pat Benatar?
Right after they played "Shadow Dancing," the radio station played Pat Benatar's "Shadows Of The Night." They had a shadows theme going on since it's Groundhog Day and the groundhog saw it's shadow.
Oh, how you razzle and dazzle me with your cleverness, 93.7 FM!
Anyway, hearing "Shadows Of The Night" got me thinking about Pat Benatar and how many great songs she had. (It also got me thinking about how hot she looked in her videos and on her album covers, but that's another story.)
So, my question is:
What's your favorite song by Pat Benatar?

Shadow Dancing
Andy Gibb's "Shadow Dancing" is playing on the radio right now. First time I've heard it in years. I'd forgotten what a good song it is. Not as good as Andy's "I Just Want To Be Your Everything" and "(Love Is) Thicker Than Water," but it's still a damned good song.
It really sucks that Andy died so young. He was a talented guy.
P.S. - Ever see pictures of Barry Gibb when he was young and clean-shaven? He and Andy really looked a lot alike.

A New Taxes Record For Me
I'm one of those people who usually waits until April to do their taxes. Some years I've even completed them on the 15th.
Not this year, Baby!
I received my W2s in the mail on Monday afternoon. Within an hour I had completed and submitted my state taxes online. Later that night I did my Federal taxes and I mailed them out on Tuesday.
Not damned bad, if I do say so my damned self!
