Happy Thanksgiving
Here's hoping you all have a great Thanksgiving tomorrow. Enjoy!
P.S. - Also, Happy Birthday tomorrow to my friend and co-worker Christine Sembiante. (Too bad about the scoop sheet thing, Christine. There's always next year!)

Brrrrrr!
The current temperature here in Delaware is 32 degrees. I usually don't mind the cold weather, but the first week or so of it each year is a little rough.
One day last week it was 70 degrees. An almost 40 degree drop in less than one week is quite an adjustment!
Looks like we might get some snow tonight or tomorrow. Perfect for the holiday.

About Leaving Comments Here...
There have been some weird comments left here on my blog recently. Most of them have been by people using fake or "anonymous" names. Some have been totally bizarre and not even related to my postings. Others have been insultive to other commentors here.
Here's the deal: I'm not allowing those sorts of comments to appear here. I've deleted several of them already and I'll continue to delete them as they appear.
If you're planning on leaving comments like the ones I mentioned above, you'll just be wasting your time. Don't even bother.
If you don't like that, then feel free to not visit this blog anymore. It's that simple.
Have a great day,
Me

The Philadelphia Eagles
Well, it's looking almost impossible now for the Eagles to make the playoffs. Mike McMahon did a pretty good job (after halftime) filling in for Donovan McNabb in the QB position but it wasn't enough to beat the Giants.
Oh well. We had a pretty good run the past several years. I guess we were due for a season like this.
That's okay. We'll come back stronger next year...

Favorite Songs By...?
I'm going to ask two this week...
1. What's your favorite song(s) by Journey?
2. What's your favorite song(s) by Styx?
(I'll answer later.)

Adam Sandler's Thanksgiving Song
Just heard it on the radio for the first time this year. You know, it's really sort of a ridiculous song. A lot of the rhymes in it are very cheesey and kind of dumb...but parts of the song crack me up.
If you don't like Adam Sandler, you probably hate the song. I'm a fan of most of his stuff, so I don't see myself getting sick of the song in the next week.

Too Early For Christmas Songs On The Radio?
Last night I was driving around and I heard Bob Seger's version of "Little Drummer Boy" come on the radio. Yesterday was November 8th. I like the song well enough, but I think it's a little too early to be playing Christmas songs on the radio.
Sunny 104 FM in Philadelphia was the station playing the song. Turns out that they're already playing Christmas music 24 hours a day.
Don't get me wrong - I love Christmas music. I just think that radio stations, department stores, etc. should wait until Thanksgiving before they start beating the Christmas songs to death.

Favorite Billy Joel Song?
Damn, this one is hard for me. I have practically all of his albums and love so many of his songs. A lot of them make me think of certain times or certain people. For example, "Scenes From An Italian Restaurant"always makes me think of Stacy. We used to play that one all the time on the jukebox at the bar. Songs like "The Longest Time" remind me of high school. Billy's videos seemed to always be on MTV back then. Probably my favorite of his videos was "Pressure." Great song and kind of a bizarre video.
I'm going to force myself to just pick only one song as my favorite. I'm going to go with "Sleeping With The Television On" from his GLASS HOUSES album. It's a really fun song.
At least that's my favorite one today (probably since I just listened to it 5 minutes ago.) I could have easily went with "Leave A Tender Moment Alone" or something else I'd recently listened to.
So...what's your favorite Billy Joel song?

Pet Peeves While Driving (Part 237)
A couple of things that really annoy me while driving:
1. People who don't use their turn signals. Really, is it that difficult to move your finger up and down an inch or so? Show a little consideration to the people driving around you.
2. People who don't give you 'the thank-you-wave' when you're being nice and let them merge in in front of you. Showing just a little bit of appreciation wouldn't kill them.
I bet they're the same ones who never use their turn signals.

Goody Two, Goody Two, Goody Goody Two Shoes
Adam Ant turns 51 today. Wow!
I was a huge Adam Ant fan in the 1980s. I guess you could say I'm still a fan. I still buy his cds when they come out, but I don't like them anywhere near as much as I loved his stuff from the early 80s.
My favorite was Adam And The Ants' album KINGS OF THE WILD FRONTIER. I still love that album. I'd rank it in my top ten favorites by anyone.
I'll have to honor Adam's b-day by playing some antmusic today.
Antmusic for sex people, sex music for ant people - now!
(And I've just totally lost most of my readers under the age of 30.)

Money Grubbing Bastards
I read in this morning's newspaper that Dupont is going to be outsourcing much of its human resources work. This means that possibly one thousand (or more) Dupont employees could lose their jobs to outside contractors.
Dupont sucks.
Let me make it clear that I'm not referring there to most of the Dupont employees. I'm talking about the upper management who makes the crappy decisions like the one I listed above. They're the ones who suck.
Dupont employed 13,250 people in Delaware in the year 2000. The number now is 8,100. That number is half of what it was in 1995 and only one third of what it was in 1985.
It's all about the money to those bastards. The hell with the employees who have worked their asses off for the company for years.
Money grubbing bastards. The hell with them...
