As I said in my last posting, I've decided to do a Question Of The Week here. Sometimes it will have to do with writing or reading, but sometimes it won't.
This one obviously falls into the won't category.
I'm a music junkie. I've been buying music for almost as long as I can remember. I've got my favorites, of course, but I'm always looking for something new to try out.
So, tell me, what new music have you purchased (or stolen) recently? And how do you like it?

I just purchases the entire 30 Seconds to Mars Library as well as Stevie Nicks greatest hits.
Stevie is one of my favorites. Fantastic voice and she's an awesome songwriter.
If you ever want to check out sort of an obscure cd of hers, give a listen to "The Other Side Of The Mirror." No real big hits came off of it, but it's a great cd.
I got a ton of stuff that was recomended by the people in the writing group. Matt Nathansan, Mat Kearney, Avett Brothers, lots of great stuff. For a full list, you can look here: http://somesharpwords.blogspot.com/2011/03/natural-selection-playlist.html
A lot of cool stuff there, Elizabeth. Thanks for sharing that list!
I keep meaning to check out more of Matt Nathansan's music. I've only heard a little bit by him, but I've liked what I've heard.
I love music too. The last album I downloaded was Fine Fenzy. I have been on a big Nationals and Mumford and Sons kick recently. Regina Spektor is always a favorite of mine (she is currently playing on my radio) and I am looking forward to Matt Nathanson's new album coming out in June.
Liz, I’ve got to admit, I don’t know most of those artists you mentioned. I’ll have to look them up and give them a listen.
As for what I’ve bought recently, I just picked up the newest cd from Colin Hay, former lead singer of Men At Work. I like his solo stuff a lot and the new cd, Gathering Mercury, is very good.
Here’s Colin performing “Send Somebody,” one of the songs from it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvOMEmpbCXY
Another recent purchase of mine was Tale Of The Tape by Billy Squier. It was his first album. I had it on cassette years ago, but it was finally time to upgrade.
Here’s a great song from it called “Calley Oh:”

Ok so I know Sharp and I both brought up Matt Nathanson. I saw him in concert a couple years ago and he is without at doubt one of the best most engaging live performers. My favorite of his albums is the Live at the Point album if you check him out. Here is a youtube video of one of his songs live. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ra58CyDzx_0
I haven't heard of either of the people you mentioned. I will check your links!
Buckwheat Zydeco - Pour Tout Quelque'un and Karl Jenkins - Adiemus.
These are the last two songs I bought from iTunes. Kind of bizzar now that I think of it.
